1121 Basmati
The world’s longest-grain basmati.
Developed by IARI, New Delhi, and notified in 2008, 1121 has the most dramatic kernel elongation of any commercial basmati. A single grain can stretch to more than twice its raw length when cooked, staying separate, slender and non-sticky. It is the most traded basmati variety in global markets.
