Basmati Rice · Variety
Pusa Basmati 1 (PB1)
The pioneer of modern basmati.
Released in 1989, PB1 was the first high-yielding semi-dwarf basmati. It carries nearly all the traits of traditional basmati — fragrance, elongation, fluffy texture — and remains popular in the Middle East and domestic markets.
